Community grown award winning film making.

The GLT Productions Film Club (GLTFC) is dedicated to bringing the art of filmmaking to the community. Each year the film club produces several projects, including short films, and promotional videos to support GLT's main stage productions.

The GLTFC has had some festival success with its short films. Recently, the short film ‘Those Who Wait’ written and directed by GLT’s Taylor Grist and supported by a talented cast and crew of GLT members was entered into the 2020 Single Take Film Challenge winning the Best Film Award, the Most Entertaining Award, and also was nominated for Most Extraordinary Cinematography. Since the success of that challenge, ‘Those Who Wait’ has been accepted into the Toronto International Short Film Festival, Milton Film Festival, Rollywood International Film Festival, Paris Lift-Off Film Festival, and the Studio City Film Festival.

‘The Adventures of Dash Cloudrider in Galdar’s Grip’ directed and produced by GLT’s Joe Frechette and made in partnership with GLT Productions was part of the official selection at the 2019 Toronto Shorts International Film Festival and won Best Scify Short Film Award at the 2020 Rollywood International Film Festival in Trinidad and Tobago.
