Georgetown Little Theatre Productions Inc. are hosting auditions for their upcoming production of Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson and adapted by Bryony Lavery. Below you will find information regarding how to sign up, what we are looking for, and what is expected.

This is a large cast with 20 speaking roles so please come out and audition! You must be 10+ years old to audition. You will be called for 2 hour time slots on either day. If you are unable to attend or have other time commitments, please let us know prior to your audition date and time. Please bring a headshot with you and be prepared for "cold reads" of the day. If you require any accommodation, please let us know prior to your audition slot.

Production Dates:

November 4 to 6, and 10 to 13, 2022. All performances are held at the John Elliott Theatre in Georgetown.

Play synopsis:

It's a dark, stormy night. The stars are out. Jim, the innkeeper's granddaughter, opens the door to a terrifying stranger. At the old sailor's feet sits a huge sea-chest, full of secrets. Jim invites him in-and her dangerous voyage begins. Jim Hawkins Jr. is a girl rebelling against gender roles in this imaginative adaption of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale of murder, money, and mutiny.

Georgetown Little Theatre Productions Inc. is pleased to announce receipt of a Community Building Fund – Operating Stream Grant of $36,400.  Some items covered by the grant are web/virtual equipment, programs, licensing, and audio/visual equipment, along with specific cleaning supplies for the Studio, and fixed operating costs.

Georgetown Little Theatre would like to thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation for the grant and supporting GLT.

Georgetown Little Theatre Productions Inc. would like to thank the Halton Hills 100 Women organization for their generous donation of $5,300.00.  The official handover the of the cheque was held on April 6, 2022, outside at the GLT Studio.  To accept the cheque were representatives of GLT’s Youth company, Adult company, Board of Directors and 100 Women Halton Hills.  The donated monies will be applied to replacing the roof of the GLT Studio, which is now twenty years old.

Don't miss your chance on experiencing a walk through haunted studio experience. Event attendance is limited capacity and restricted to ages 12+. Groups will be allowed at a max of 3 people (prefered group of 2). Registration is for a 30min time slot. Individuals or groups will be entering approximately every 5-7 mins per timeslot. Don't delay and register for your time slot today! Walk ups are welcome but will be allowed entry on a first come first serve basis where time permits.
