Steel Magnolias By Robert Harling Comedy November 2-4, 8-11, 2018

Let’s visit Truvy's beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are "anybody" come to have their hair done. Helped by her eager new assistant, Annelle, the outspoken, wise-cracking Truvy dispenses shampoos and free advice to the town's rich curmudgeon, Ouiser; an eccentric millionaire, Miss Clairee, who has a raging sweet tooth; and the local social leader, M'Lynn, whose daughter, Shelby, is about to marry a "good ole boy." With the loss of Shelby, the sudden realization of their mortality affects the others, but also draws on the underlying strength—and love—which give the play, and its characters, the special quality to make them truly touching, funny and marvelously amiable company in good times and bad.

A Streetcar Named Desire By Tennessee Williams Drama February 1-3, 7-10, 2019

Blanche du Bois, a woman whose life has been undermined by her romantic illusions, rejects the realities of life in front of her and constantly ignores. The pressure brought to bear upon her by her sister, Stella with whom she goes to live in New Orleans is intensified by the earthy and extremely "normal" young husband of Stella. This leads to a revelation of Blanche’s tragic self-delusion and, in the end, to madness. A tragic and effective drama which ranks as one of the greatest in our theatre.

Hamish By Michael Grant Canadian Comedy April 5-7, 11-14, 2019

Kelli books a trip for her overworked husband, Gordon and herself to his ancestor's former homestead in the Scottish Highlands. She plans to announce some big news but something bigger is afoot as they discover a deceased ancestor has not yet left the highlands. As the first Hamish causes havoc both in the cottage and out, Gordon comes to realize there is more to life than work. Hamish is a heart-warming comedy about family and love.
